Crocea clams are not sandbed clams. They need to be attached to a rock, If you would like to keep it in your sand bed, bury a small rock under the clam, and it should find it.

Yes crocea and it needs a rock to grab on to. If you want to place it in the sand place a rock under it. But they look best nestled into rock work

It decided to attach to a turbo snail shell prior to purchasing it so i just put some small pieces of rock around it. My second question is since it came from a greenhouse should I still acclimate it to the light? Thanks for the replies.

Which greenhouse? I have 3 croceas and a dersa, never did anything special for the light. How big is the clam, anything under 2" to 2.5" may need some feeding.

Coral Ranch I stopped by for the first time last week, they had great prices. I plan on moving it up closer to the light since I have 20K XM's but I just put my old rock structure in the sump till I can get a chance to rid the rocks of zoanthids. So far the zoanthids have been in an unlit sump for a week and yesterday I turned on the light yesterday to do some organizing and the zoanthids opened up within ten minutes.

Yea, good luck. Zoanthids are pretty hardcore. You can get them shipped to you dry and they do fine.
