lets talk plates
« on: February 18, 2020, 14:21:04 »
I have 4 plates in my tank, 2 from the pacific ocean for over 18 months now, and those two have really never shown great signs of loving captivity, (go figure) the other plate I have is about 4 years old in my tank (no clue how old as a total) then the other is the tiny baby the pacific blue one had.

So i know plates are not super popular, but let's talk about them a bit, Have you see your have a mouth that just stays open or suddenly deflate and show its skeleton? Both of the pacific ones do this from time to time and I would love to know if there is a fix for this?

The mouth on my plates only open up if fed or excreting. I have not seen them open otherwise. One plate moved and tried to war with a lobo.  Lobo was winning when I separated them.  The plate did survive.
