180 Gallon tank- need advice
« on: May 11, 2014, 22:03:20 »
Hi, have an opportunity to buy a 180 tank cheap.  It is missing the top trim/frame.  Anyone know where a frame can be purchased, or an alternative way to replace it?

Risky....why is the top missing?  Do you know the brand of the tank.  If you know the brand, talk to a LFS, they should be able to order you one, although I have heard that it is not the easiest thing to get your hands on.

You could euro brace the tank

I replaced the top on my ALL Glass 90 a few years ago. Ordered through LFS, pretty simple to do.

Thanks.    Went and looked at it this morning, it is reef ready, dual overflows, in decent shape, for the price couldn't pass it up.  They broke the trim when moving it, took it off for that reason.  Can't find the replacement frame anywhere, the Euro brace looks like the way to go.

Do you know who made the tank. Perfecto, All Glass etc?
