What is this? Is a soft coral branching coral that's neon yellow. Thanks

Looks like a sinularia (sp?)

It maybe dyed. Have you had it greater than 3 months? If yes then it's not and is very nice and currently extremely rare.

I was thinking sinularia as well. And I have only had it for about a month. It cam from a local doctor that has a tank in his office. Its my understanding that it was a frag from his tank. But, in the month I have had it, it has not changed color at all and fluoresces very brightly.

I also would like to know how to go about fragging this piece. Should I wait until it is larger before I do so though?

You can just snip off a 1-2" branch and gently rubber-band it to a piece of live rock rubble. It's plenty big enough to frag.
