Thank you all for the kudos.

Just about got the wood work wrapped up. All that is left is the compartments for equipment underneath and the black trim between the doors.

Plenty of doors for access.

It was important to me to be able to slide the lights out of the way but not spend a fortune on a light mover. Total cost of project was $33.

Pocket Door replacement hardware kit. $10 at Lowes

All you need are these rollers

Pocket Door Track 66" $23 Lowes Special Order but only took 2 days to arrive.
Screw the track in the center of the canopy and slide the rollers in the track.

Mount the light to the rollers and wallah, sliding reflector.

The stand looks AMAZING. I usually cringe at the look of natural wood on aquariums and think "how 90's" but the way you tied it together with the black is fantastic. Now, when are you gonna make one for me?

Thank you all for the great compliments, sure is fun to have people to share the hobby with.

No new pictures but I do have some updates.

Lighting
The lighting arrived over the last two weeks. Went with 2 Lumatek 400w ballasts, Lumen Max reflectors and Radium bulbs. I choose the digital Lumatek ballasts due to the unique ability to run a 250w or 400w bulb and its dimming capability.

Overflow
Finally made the decision on the overflow, tank will be drilled (first for me) however it is fairly unique in that it won't be a traditional overflow. I really wanted something removable for cleaning yet a small foot print and reliable. I could explain but pictures are better so will wait on that. (It's nothing fancy).

Circulation
In tank circluation will be done by two Koralia 12v #8 connected to a Koralia wave maker. Would love to have Vortex but out of reach budget wise.

The tank has a small chip between the glass and silicone which looked like it had the potential to be problematic so a replacement should be here by next Friday or small chance tomorrow. In the meantime I am working on pluming for frag tank and sump. They will both be in the basement connected to the display tank on the main floor via PCX40 pump.

do you have a link to this 250/400w ballast? Im trying to decide if I want a 250w or 400w fixture over a new setup and would love the option to switch wattages on the same ballast.

I think Justin runs those select a watt ballasts from Sunlight supply
75G Mixed Reef w/ 30G sump/refuge

Electrical Engineers do it on impulse, with faster rise times, with more power, and less resistance at higher frequencies, without shorts, until it Hertz

For the 400w version the selector is 150w, 250w HQI, 400w and Super Lumens.

If you plug in a 400w bulb and select the 250w setting it will output equivalent to a 250w bulb. You can also use a 250w bulb at that or 150w setting. Similar fashion you can run a 400w bulb at the 150w setting. The Super Lumens over drives a 400w bulb +10% or 440w. For European bulbs such as Radium that are designed to run on Pulse ballast at 360w it is fairly significant overdrive which would result in a short life span

The only thing it is lacking is the ability to set a schedule to ramp up/down the wattage over the photo-period. But not sure any MH ballast can do that.

thanks for the explanation, the website doesn't really do that ::)

so is this ballast mainly for single ended bulbs, but you can also run a 250w hqi?

Finally found the 2nd 75g. Drilled them both and got the overflows plumbed. Also got the electric and RO/DI water line ran. Hope to pick up the 40g sump and replacement 125 this week so I can finish plumbing and start filling with water. Excited it is getting close but wish I had been cycling the rock over the past couple of months. It is still dry so going to have to wait a while to put live stock in.

Here is the plumbing diagram.

Tons of water volume from your old system.  With that much volume and livestock, are you making provisions for a Ca Reactor?

Only one overflow on your main tank?  What is the line on the right side of your propagation tank?
