How do you frag a toadstool leather and what are the frags worth?
-
Frags go from $10-$30 depending on size and most importantly, beauty. Fragging is done by cutting the disk with scissors. There are many ways to mount. To name one you can spear the cut piece with a toothpick which can then be inserted into a rock.
-
By cutting the disc do u mean all the way to the center or just off the edge?
-
You can just cut what you want off.. They grow fast and heal up great. My little 10G tank is getting overrun with tyree green toadstool frags, lol...
-
I'd like to get a green one I have a huge regular color one and a medium fuzzy one
-
I may have to try this with my Devil's Hand. I'd like to get another leather or two.
-
I have a couple cabbage leather frags plus I'm thinking of selling my giant toadstool leather when its closed its bigger than 1.5 softballs for diameter when open its like basketball size what do u guys think its worth?
-
......size what do u guys think its worth?
Not to sound sarcastic, but it's worth whatever someone is willing to pay. Unless you're willing to ship you're limited to the local market which limits your options and price. Not to say there isn't someone out there looking for a nice leather.
-
Oh :not:
-
What would you say is an appropriate price?
-
Liveaquaria is selling a medium (3-5") for $49.99.
I'd start there and if no interest go down.

Yes you got it. Cut about 1" in, all the way around the edge. You should end up with a long 1" strip when done with that cut. Then cut your strip at 1". You should end up with a bunch of 1" x 1" frags and your original piece will just be smaller around but still look good. In about two months each frag will grow a stem and should resemble a mini toadstool. They look really cool at that size. Especially when you have a bunch of them together

Ok thanx
