Title: phytoplankton

I recently added some pods from algae barn to my sump and purchased some phyto to feed them with.  I was just wondering who is using phyto in their reefs and any good or bad comments from using it?  thought about culturing it from what I got from algae barn if it would be beneficial to the tank.

i do not dose phyto and my pods are crazy in my sump. not sure it is needed and can cause unwanted nutrients in the long run.
