Here are a few pictures I took from a snorkel and dive trip to the Big Island of Hawaii on the Kona Coast. The last picture is of me. Enjoy!

Wow... Those yellow tangs look so cool.  Kind of makes me sad in a way to have one in my tank instead of letting him be in the ocean.
Thanks fro sharing!

The long yellow fish is some type of trumpetfish.

Believe it or not, I used a cheap, disposable underwater 35mm camera with a flash. I think I paid about $25 per camera, including film.

You definitely get a different perspective of this hobby with how fish and corals interact and how water really flows in and around  the reef when you experience it first hand. I may share pictures of my wife's snorkel & dive trip to the Great Barrier Reef as well, if I can find time to scan the pictures. She took an awesome  picture of a large Great White Shark that beached itself, but was still alive.

Ohhhh I would love to see those as well!!!

I have snorkeled in Destin Florida. It's nothing compared to places with reefs and many fish.  But i still get an amazing feeling of awe when being there.

Here are some more pics from another CD I took from Hawaii! Includes pictures of a Black Durgon fish, Kole Surgeonfish, a puffer (either White-Spotted or Spiny) and Ko'a Lobe coral.

Lobe Coral is a very large SPS coral. I think it can grow the size of your car and even larger. I attached another picture of Ko'a Lobe coral below for you.
