wrasse care questions
« on: September 29, 2016, 08:27:22 »
Hello all,

I'm looking to pick up a flasher wrasse this weekend. As I have been reading up on them, I feel good about it doing well with all my other fish.

My only concern is all the info online says they need to be fed 2-3 times a day due to their high activity level.

Is this true? is anyone out there feeding their wrasse once a day? Anyone ever lose a wrasse (besides being a jumper?)

My wife and I both leave for work before the fish wake up and they get fed once a day.

Anyone's personal experience would be helpful.

Thanks

Have 6 wrasses and feed 1/day.  No flashers though.

Kept a blue sided fairy wrasse for years, mostly feeding once a day. Ate like a pig.

Mike,
My two wrasses (sixline and red-lined) only get fed once a day.  Sometimes not that often for the sixline in the frag tank.  Both have done well.  I've had them over a year.
