As I said, we bought ours in August of 2009 from Phishy Business.  They seem to have no problems living a long time.  Perhaps it is the source quality of the livestock that contributes to the longevity of the animal.

Various thriving montipora, acropora, stylopora, wellsophyllia, blastomussa, hammer, anchor, and frogspawn, lobophyllia, rhizotrychus, pavona, scroll, and pagoda SPS and LPS corals, but no fish because I was too stupid to QT...

I'm happy to hear about an exception to the norm! I'll see if I can't dig up the paper published a couple of years ago that detailed the stomach contents of linckia stars. It was co-authored by Leslie .. what's her name.. Ophiuroid is her username on most forums.. *racks brain* Harris? Harrison?

It is a bright vivid blue, and has lots of personality for a starfish!
