I have seen then working at a trade show but never used one in my tanks.
Neat little thing.  They even have a sponge that can go on it to get a wet dry media great for freshwater.

i have and they work great, i used 2 of them took the them off because you lose a little flow, but i'm getting a new one

Which PH were you using?  Did you you have probs keeping them attached?
