I've dove on reefs like the one shown.  If there has been a 97% dieback, it is a sad, sad day.  Glad I got to see it when I did.

I heard about the bleaching as well. With global warming, the corals are bleaching at alarming rates.

What color/size is the staghorn? do you what type of acro it is (or the source purchased)?

It will be interesting to see how they handle the people that already have it in their tanks. Will they be allowed to frag it, etc.

Is it the ultra rare brown color?

yup, i got it for free as a 2" stick that had no polyp extension and was under pc lights for a while. in a year it grew to a 6-7" tall by5" wide colony.
