I love those dimensions.. 24" front to back allows for creative rock work, and 24" height lets you get great light coverage at the bottom with no shadows.

I really wanted to go rimless but that's going to have to wait for now so my main focus was getting somthing no less then 24 inches deep so I have plenty of room to built rock work in middle of tank

Has anyone seen or used removable baffle? They cut glass short and use marine weather stripping. Looking for pro and cons only nice thing I see is you can move them around if needed

I've heard good and bad.   Good as easy to install, bad is they don't always stand up to the pressure put onto them and they give out.

Can I ask what the motivation is behind this?  Is it to make them removable for cleaning and such, or is it for a easier way to build the sump?

I made a panel removable.  I just made a slot by siliconing a couple of blocks onto the wall of the sump.   Only the center section is removable, so pressure is not present.  I made mine removable for cleaning.   There is a picture or two in my build thread.

Really no reason other then cleaning just read a thread talking about it had me thinking about it. So tonight I fitted all plumbing and decided I'm not going to use the 75 for a sump going with a 40 breeder for space reasons. I didn't glue pvc due to this but I think everything will work either way though. I due have a question can I feed my skimmer off of the full siphon in the bean system ?

I'm now looking for a 40 breeder if anyone has anything

The overflow I build out of a old 29 gallon I cut up I have a top for it but not done making a guard for it so nothing can get in.as you can see there is no room with the 75 and the skimmer for a top off tank and other equipment

Ok I want everyone's opion on placement  of mp40 in photo it's on right side. overflows on left 1800 gph mag drive return going to the right front corner I'm now thinking I need to swap aqua scape to overflow side so mp40 isnt blowing straight into rock and is blowing to overflow

If you have an apex jr, have you used all 5 modules permitted on the aquabus?     If you have less than the 5 you are permitted, go ahead and get the WXM module now.    You will need it no matter which apex you get.

I just have mine opposing.....the one runs in reefcrest, the other in antisync.

Don't put it too close to the rock...if you ever put anything on that rock, it will get beat to heck from the current

I had mine on opposite sides of the tank, at different levels vertically, in sync / anti-sync mode so that I got a nice back-and-forth and up-and-down Z type pattern.

Man I would recomend seperate reactors for each. You will want to have diferent amounts of flow to each. I believe and correct me if im wrong but this uses one pump and both see simular flow through each.

I used to run 2 TLF reactors in unison. I had my gfo before the carbon so that the carbon didnt tumble and it helped to mop up the fines from the gfo. I think that reactor will work nicely. Plus the addition of a ball valve helps tune it in.

I like your aquascape.  How did you manage to balance those rocks?  It looks like you drilled and ran pvc through them.  Did you do anything else?

Stunning!!!!  I really like the clean simple setup.  I've thought many times about trying to take my tank this way.  You've mastered one of the toughest parts of this hobby.....aquascaping!!!   Well done!!!

Super nice build!  It's so clean and simple looking.  I love how you did the rock work.  I wish I could do my rock like that, but I always go over kill.

Next big project is new sump design and plumb in frag tank. also changing qt tanks out to two 75 gallons instead of the two 29 . Here are a few new piece I've added the past couple weeks
