Pipe dope is the only thing I could ever get reeflo pumps to seal 100% with.

Well a quick update. I was gonna post this earlier with some pics but I ran out of time. The tank is full and running. Leaks are fixed, salinity is almost right, and temp is almost there. I am driect feeding my skimmer from the overflow. I think my return pump is pushing more water than the skimmer could handle so I installed a T and ball valve whiched stopped the air from entering the skimmer as well as lowered the water level. I am going to add the rest of the salt tomorrow and start adding some of my dry rock hopfully I'll have some pics tomorrow.

Ok all fish and coral are in the tank. All in all we lost one anthis, scooter blenny, coral beauity ( to close to the mag 18  :'( )  and my baby orang shoulder tang ( also to close to a power head ). Coral wise. The tank temp got 85+ for 2 days before i caught it so we lost our cats paws, and a unknow acro. Everything came back.

Quick question...
What is that metal box at the top right above your tank?

It's a fan just in case we get a temp spike. I am ordering some fans from work that are supposed to be extream condition units. I was told they won't be effected by the saltwater so I am going to give them a try. I am still working on the light fixture as well. The light rack is a temp soultion as well.

Its about time! Looks real nice Mike. I would like to see it in person sometime. I know the pics can not give justice to the depth of it especially after seeing the clam up close.

Here is something i added last night. Its a diy waste collector with a float switch so shut down the skimmer if it overflows. I'm gonna do a write up on it in the diy forum

Ummmm.......... Mike, you do know that you have to hook those wires from the float switch to a controller to make them work.  The float doesn't work by itself.  ;D
