Title: LZ True Blood

This coral has been the most satisfying transformation. I purchased it on 9/23/19. I recall  adding it to my online shopping cart with some various other corals. At the time I didn’t expect much out of it with its non flattering pinkish hue. When it arrived it had a light tan color but that was about it, the pink was no where to be found.

 It  spent its first 3 weeks in quarantine getting coral rx baths every few days. Nothing changed with it during that time so when it was ready to go into the main system I put it in a high flow low light spot on the rack being cautious not to over illuminate it. A couple weeks later I was doing some tank maintenance and it caught my eye. The tips had begun to turn pink. It wasn’t much, and easily looked over but the short time that had went by I was impressed.

As the days went by I noticed it more often, the pink intensified into a light red, and started seeing some green down in the lower depths. Every few days I purposely checked in on it . Each time the color was notably more intense then the last. Today I scanned the rest of the tank and realized it was the darkest red of any acro I had. So impressed with this transformation I had to get a picture that I could compare to what I had added to my cart back in late September.

I think it needs a name. Any ideas? Here is a couple thoughts.

That is an amazing transformation, like a shortcake on steroids. I like True Blood.

What an amazing transformation Brian. I like the pink Phoenix. Out of the ashes it rose again lol

Here it is today. They only change is the polyps are green now which looks really neat against the red tissue.
