I recently got an emerald crab. Is say hes about the size of a dime. I took a look into the tank a few minutes ago, with lights off, to see if I could find him. I found him sitting on top of my trumpet coral. Could he be innocently eating food that he finds throughout, or is there anything on the trumpet that he'd find as a meal? First sign of him eating any corals, in the sump hes gonna go

nothing is ever truly reef safe. I would I had a peppermint shrimp decide to eat my button polyps lol I would just watch if you notice any real damage. Which in this case I would say is unlikely, throw him in the sump.

Thanks. I knew the risk prior to getting him, but I hear its 50/50. So I decided to try it

after watching him for a bit, and after doing my water change, I noticed he was most likely cleaning the underside. The trumpet poofed back out and doesn't seem damaged at all. I see him scaling the rock, so I'll keep an eye on him. I hope I wake up to all my zos in tact
