Help identifying problem with anthia
« on: June 27, 2015, 06:57:26 »
Well as usual had an anthia for about 4 months then started looking sick and found dead this morning. Any ideas of what might be wrong? I'm posting a pic. Water prams are perfect and all other fish are healthy. Started looking bruised and discolored on his side.

I know my lyre tail anthia I had ended up looking the same way before he died. The one thing both of them had in common was it seemed like they were obsesed with the cleaner shrimp cleaning them. So I'm wondering if the cleaner was cleaning them to good if that makes sense almost eating them lol.

How many times a day did you feed it?

Anthias are constant feeders and can "silently" go down hill over a couple months and just die. Fine one day gone the next.

I meant every other day. Guess it depends on who you talk to. Some feed every day and some don't.

I do feed sea weed and whatnot too. I was told I was feeding to much so I backed off. All my other fish are completely fat and happy.
