ahhhh. Corals in my Display
« on: October 17, 2011, 23:06:25 »
So my corals are starting to come out of QT and making their way into my display tank.   The temporary setup (Was a little too long)   Some corals did well, and others not so well.

This is one of my favorites.......so far it has made it fine.

That color is amazing.  Under what light conditions did you shoot?  The blue really pops...

That was shot under mostly actinic (Royal Blue LED)   But I did color balance it a bit back to Normal.    Even during my daylight cycle, it pops out.    This is a deep Purple, Some Blue, with Green cast and Polyps.   This was Rich's (Coral Ranch) prized tort, started from just a small frag.

Acropora Tortuosa.   Commonly called a Tort.

Tortuosa for super slow growth. That is a decent size piece and I bet has taken a lot of TLC to get to that size

Here is another fav.....   Blue Acropora Turaki.   Very similar to the ORA Hawkins Blue Enchinata......just more delicate.    I do have a Hawkins Blue as well, but this one has done alot better.

I got mine from the CORA swap in 2010.   Started from about a 1" frag.   I was severely disappointed in the size of the frag, but it has done well.   This was the center piece in my old display until my spaz tangs "chopped" it down.
