As the title states im looking for some glass for the 40 breeder sump i am getting ready to make. I was wondering if there was somewhere people have used before to get some panels made. I am in cincinnati but i can travel a little as long as the price is rite.
Thanks in advance
Mike

Lowes has glass and can cut it. Just make sure who ever is doing it knows what they are doing. The first person who tried to do mine didn't know how to cut it right. They didn't charge me for all the pieces he chipped, which was a good thing lol. Just an option that is close to almost everyone.

Thabks for the quick reply! Do they carry 1/4" glass?

usually it's 3/32" think picture frame glass

I've always used Acrylic for my sump baffles. Never had a problem

I am in the same boat. There is a glass company right in town by me and I plan on getting dark tinted glass cut for my sump

I agree completely. I would be concerned with pump, live-rock, etc bumping into the thin glass and shattering it.
I would go with acrylic. and you can cut it yourself :)
Just IMO

i ended up with the thicker acrylic from home depot. i cut it on the table saw and going to silicone in sometime this week. i will post pics when i build the sump.

Sounds good. Can't wait for pics. I haven't done my 75 sump so I'm debating on glass or acrylic

I've bought glass from Star City Glass in Miamisburg on multiple occasions, nice prices and great cuts
