After weeks and weeks and weeks

of negotiations the frag swap is scheduled for July 25 at the Miamisburg Moose Lodge. 2110 E. Central Ave., Miamisburg, OH, 45342. More details to follow, but it should be a great event for the club with Vendors, Raffles, Food and Fun. Tell all your friends we want to make this a big success. I will post more details as they are finalized.

Looking forward to it. Its great to see a mid summer swap spring up to fill the gap between the current spring and fall swaps in Ohio.

I just sent this info on to the rest of our guys. I fully suspect we will be there. I will firm this up though.

This is a way better date, I heard the 18 and was worried I was going to have to tell my fiance I wouldnt be able to make our wedding.

Sigh... ok lets try this posting thing again.

Congrats on finding a location for the swap, I was happy to find out that it is going to be close by in Miamisburg as I don't ever recall going to a swap so close to where I live. If I'm not away on a backpacking trip for that weekend, I will be eager to attend and check it out.

Has anyone thrown this up on Fragswapper yet? Or does it have a time frame limit on it? I only ask because I don't see Ohio Reef listed as an organization in Ohio either.

I don't think we are going to put it out there until Verper's Sis gets the flyer complete.

Plus, fragswapper will be up only a month before the swap. Any earlier and there are way too many cancellations as plans change, coral die, tanks crash, etc.

Hey Rob.

Sorry I missed your first post. We have our next planning meeting on the 16th. We should have more info to share then. We've received positive feedback from all of the clubs in the area and expect to have a good turnout. So far you and Coral Ranch are the only two that have confirmed 100% but have received interest from several other vendors with some of them approaching us as they are excited that there is finally going to be an event in the summer.

I will provide more of an update after the 16th.

so I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post this here but figured I'd say I'll be making it for this as well. do the vendors sell any kind of fish or strictly coral?? never been to a frag swap so not sure who sells what.

I've been to many swaps and usually there are a few fish from swappers, but not many from vendors that I have seen unless it was a prearranged sale. Maybe if a vendor sees this post they will chime in.
