I have used three buckets of it. Dissolved pretty good. The calcium tested right around 430ish with a specific gravity of 1.024. All three buckets tested a little lower than I like on alkalinity right around 6dKH. Which is low for the calcium being that high.

i actually didnt know that it mixed that high, till i did a 30gallon water change, and got up the next day and all my xenias was dead, toadstools were al wrinckled up, and lots on numorus corals dead or about dead, all my water paremitors where fine except, khd and cal which were 6khd, and 520 on cal, so i checked some what that i had already mixed and i got a reading of 580 which was 29 drops, i though i had to have missed counted so i did it again and 580 and again, so i was advised to go get my water check and a friend of mine checked with his kit and got the same readings, i dont know if i got a bad bucker or not, but i have been doing some research on the subject and im finding a lot of different oppinion on it, imagine that lol. but most say its got a crazyly high cal, which i guess in turn doesnt help the kdh too much, i sold what i had left, and the guy that bought it bought it for the high cal, just too much for my tank

Yeah I don't think it's a good salt for softies. I wasn't comfortable with it for the same reasons. If I had an overly stocked hard coral tank would have probably done well. But, I like to have a variety so....

Yeah, my bucket was like 520 Ca...but it was low in Mag.  So, it got mixed with IO for perfect levels.  I don't use a lot of salt with a 10g tank and an 8g tank...so I've only tried one bucket.

We use it exclusively in all of our coral systems at the shop.  We cut over about a year ago and have seen nothing but improved colors.

I was using IO with no problems, got the seachem at a good price, yeh it was the first time ive changed salts in this aquarium, and now that im back to IO everything is doin great again, should have kicked my self in the ass, for fixing somthing that wasnt broke! saving a little on the salt cost me a lot of money in corals, oh well live and learn i guess ;)
