Apex pH Probe
« on: January 24, 2021, 16:06:09 »
I am new to the Apex, just set mine up last night. I notice my pH, as read by the Apex, is about .3 lower than what my test kit shows. Is this normal? Which is more accurate? Is the difference concerning or do I use the Apex as more of a way to watch the “trend.”

Did you calibrate the probe? They need to calibrated with calibration fluid. Usually 7 and 10

Yes, I calibrated it. For all I know my test kit could be off, or my reading the colors. LOL I would suspect the Apex to be more accurate.

My concern is according to the Apex my pH is only 7.7.

To confirm your calibration just drop the probe into calibration fluid and see if the apex reading matches the fluid.  If calibrated properly I would trust the apex.
