WTB Temperature Controller
« on: October 11, 2008, 12:12:29 »
Anyone have a used temperature controller out there they want to sell? I have been reading stories about how the glass heater thermostats go bad occasionally and the water can heat up and kill everything in the tank. So I am interested in a temp controller. something that would be upgradeable such as adding a PH probe or light control  would be nice but not a must.

Dual stage would be nice....Water to hot turn on fan, water to cold turn on heater

Good idea to get one.  I lost my 125 with all my fish the Friday before the storm.  Heater shorted and cooked the tank to a comfy 100+.  Algae bloom from the heat made my tank look like skim milk and only had one fish live.

I have a medusa phc-300 I would sell for 100 bucks.  Has only been used to run a 300 watt heater and a fan.

I may be interested. I will look at the specification on-line this evening and let you know. What City are you in? Also do you need any SPS or LPS, wondering if maybe I could trade some corals for or it or to supplement the cost.

I bet you were devastated. This is exactly the kind of thing I have been hearing and wanted to reduce the risk of.

Yeah... lost my fish that I had for a few years.  Def wasn't a happy camper.  I got over it a lil bit by buying Joe's 240 gal cube. ;D
