Skimmer selection for a 20 gallon long.
« on: July 10, 2006, 19:47:05 »
Anyone know of any decent hang on tank skimmers for reef tanks. I know the AquaC Remora is good, but expensive when bought new. I will be scanning the auction blocks, and classifieds for this peice of equipment. Just wanted some feedback.

If I can unload my livestock I've got a HOB Remora C w/ MJ1200 that I would LOVE to make you a good deal on. :)

It's been a great skimmer but I've gotta take down my tank.

CPR Bac-Pac is a nice HOB skimmer at a very reasonable price. I think we sell them new for 150 or 175, includes the pump too.

I bet they are available mail order or on ebay even cheaper.

It's about 45 minutes give or take.  Let us know when you are going.  There might be a few of us that could ride together.  :)

Sounds good, I am setting up the tank this weekend, and I might be getting a skimmer as soon as I hear from the seller.

Sorry for the slow reply, had lots going on the last day or two.

If your interested in a CPR Bac-Pac, let me know and I'll get you the exact price (can't remember off the top of my head)

For directions to the shop, visit our web site, it has a direction link (www.aquariumsetc.com)

Thanks alot Joel, I hope to get down to your shop sometime. I am setting up a 20 gallon long reef this weekend so it will need to cycle, but maybe when it is ready I will check out your shop.
