do you have it?  if so is your wii hooked up to the internet?  It might be fun to have a Ohio Reef mario-kart race sometime

Both of my kids have the Wii.  I'm starting to become addicted!  How does it work wtih the internet?  Can you play mario without the internet?

yes, you can play w/o the internet. The Wii has a wireless modem built in so you can connect to the internet very easily if you have a wireless router.

Do you have to know someone online at the time to play?

i think there is some-type of id code for each person.  if you pass that id code onto everyone else they can add you to their friends (in mario-kart) and if that paticular person is on, the wii will tell you?

I think thats how it works

I think your friend ID is simply your Wii ID number. I will post mine later this evening or tomorrow.

Gary is it illegal to "borrow" something from your kids and not tell them you are barrowing it???  ;)

I would be soooo addicted if I have a Wii!

i found mine by going to the online part of mario kart.  it then said do you want to race worldwide, regionally, of with friends.  I clicked on friends and underneath my wii person it had my wii id number

Thanks, Amstar. I will have to check that out. Did you get that from the Mario channel or in the game itself?
