March madness contest. PRIZE: Moonlights
« on: March 15, 2010, 12:38:18 »
This is totaly not reef related, but is anyone intrested in filling out a bracket, like the link below?

http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/mayhem/brackets/printable_men

I dont watch basketball at all, but I always try to setup a little competition at work or whatever.  If its something you'd like to do, post up.  The games start tomorrow night i think, so you'd have to fill it out soon.  If there is enough intrests I'll even try to find a reef related prize for the best bracket.

Yay or Nay?

75G Mixed Reef w/ 30G sump/refuge

Electrical Engineers do it on impulse, with faster rise times, with more power, and less resistance at higher frequencies, without shorts, until it Hertz

I found CBS's online scorer pretty easy to navigate.  You can see everyone's bracket and it scores it for us.  It requires you to register a name, but doesnt require you to goto your email and click a confirmation link or anything.  If you are intrested its:

http://worcreef.mayhem.cbssports.com/e

after you get a username setup, if it askes:
group name: Ohio Reef
group password: Ohio Reef

I just signed up and filled one out. I'm not a huge college b-ball fan but it looks like the committee favored Duke big time, and stacked the Midwest region.

Limit, as far as how many brackets?  I set it to allow only one per user.  I'd say to be fair, just make one.  ;D

I'm totally clueless, but I'll give it a shot!!

I let it pick mine by "historical random." We'll see what happens. LOL

Does anyone see when it locks the brackets? I just did mine by seed at first, but I would like to personalize it when I have time. (although I know nothing about the teams) lol

Looks like Gary with his "historical random" is in the lead right now lol  I heard that last night was the most amount of upsets in over a decade or something.

Not completely true, The scoring method I chose is alot more fair than others.  The "normal" scoring most people choose involves big multipliers towards the end.  Like first round games are worth 1 point each while the final game is worth 32 points, Basicly making the first few rounds completely useless.  So you dont necessarily have to pick the winner to win under our scoring.
