I took a tank water sample and sent to Triton for testing today. Packaging said 7-10 days for results. At the same time as I pulled the sample I tested with my kits. Below are results. Will see how close they are to Triton.

Sailfert Test Kit
   Alk 10.5
   Ca 475
   Mag 1275
   Nitrate 10-15
   Potassium 320
Hanna
   Phosphate .07
Apex
  PH 8.12

Here are results of the Triton Test

Column labled Fresh RC Triton (hart24601) are the triton test results from a fresh mixed batch of Reef Crystals. Not my test results. I added to this test as I use Reef Crystals Salt and wanted to see where some of the elemnts came from and in what qty's.

My Triton Results are in column labeled My Tank Triton Results

The column labeled My Tank Salifert Results are what I tested using my Sailfert test kits on the day/time I pulled the water sample to send to Triton.

One thing to note is I use Bulk Reef Supply Alk and Calcium. 1 gallon of each every 6 days. I thought it note worthy as it may contribute to other elements. No other dosing is done

From what I hear, BRS does not use pharmaceutical grade chemicals.   So it is possible.  Interested to see if "Me" will sell thier product in volume.  Those are supposed to be pharmaceutical grade.

I feel your pain, sorry for your loss. It really seems to come with the turf, especially when growing acros.

My Red Dragon just RTN'd over the weekend.   I cut away 3 x 2" pieces, that were still alive.   2 of those 3 already RTN'd too.   Hoping that the last one hangs on.

That was a coral that was largely unaffected by some of the odd problems I was having.

Sounds like it is going around right now. Wonder if a parameter that we can't test for in our salt is off. I use Reef Crystals from Marine Solutions lot. Everything was fine until I did a water change. I hadn't done one in a few month's.

I know I recently switched to reef crystals from tropic Marin and will be making the switch back. Worth the extra money in my opinion.
