CUC Question
« on: October 24, 2010, 22:45:00 »
I am looking at getting some more snails, currently only have Some margaritas, They do a good job, but they always end up falling over  and they can get turned back.  What are some good,  quarter sized snails or smaller that would be good, but don't fall over as much or can at least get turned back over.

I like Nassarius and Conchs for the sand bed.   Nerites do a good job on the glass.   If you need something for the rock, get some Scarlet Hermits.

I'm going to be ordering from reefs2go in a few weeks, But I'm sure most of you won't want to come to Lima to get your stuff.  My order alone is almost 400.00

Best snails I ever got!!!  I have so many that my glass is almost covered in them when the lights go out.  It's like they breed faster than they die, but whatever, I'm happy.  Glass is always clean.

AV stands for Aquavista99, he has some killer snails.  Reefs2go doesn't look to have them.

I have always heard good things about the snails tim has at fragswaps.  I'd be up for some if he has alot to sell.  Let me know if he responds

These things are great.  I started with 12 or so from IPSF, and that was 5 years ago...  they populate like crazy.   These are the same thing Tim is selling, he sells out quickly.

I will have the snails available at the December 5th 2010 Cincy Frag swap. You can reserve them now on fragswapper.com if you plan to attend the Cincy swap. They were also available at the 2010 Ohio Reef and 2010 CORA swaps as well.  :-ThumbUpsm

I have been breeding Hawaiian Strombus Grazer snails(Strombus maculatus) since 2006. Great algae grazers that may breed in your tank!!!! These reef safe snails stay small (never exceed 1/2 inch in length) and are the miniature Hawaiian relatives of the famous Queen Conch from the Caribbean.

And if you can't make it to the Cincy swap, check with Brian to see if he can pick up an order for you during his next visit to my house in a few weeks. Price is 20 or $10.  Thanks  :-ThumbUpsm

I picked up 20 at the Ohio Reef frag swap. I put 10 in my 26g and 10 in the 37g. I just got done counting 27 on the glass of the 37g :)

These are great little snails !
