I am wanting to get a Court Jester Goby so I thought I would see if anyone has any insight as to the care and upkeep of these fish.
Also if any of the sponsors see this, what would the $ be on one of these.
Thanks !

These are more commonly sold under the name of Rainford's goby or rainfordi goby.
These guys are very timid and peaceful, they get bullied pretty easily. They are also great algae eaters. I have had these little guys do a pretty good job at keeping nuisance algae cleaned up. They will eat frozen food pretty willingly, I start with small mysis and similar but they learn to eat formula pretty quickly. They are fragile but fairly hardy and seem to survive shipping pretty well - all around good fish even for smaller aquariums.
I'd say the average price for one of these is in the 20 - 25 dollar range although we have sold them for as little as 12 to 14 on special (like on the buy it in the bag specials we have done in the past.)
Another one to look at with almost identical requirements is hectors goby. another very cool small fish.
If you can't find one, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Thanks Coral Ranch. If I cant locate a court jester goby (Rainford's goby) then the Hectors is the next choice. But there is just something about the jesters coloring that I like alot

now my eyes have perked up
would the hectors goby do well in a moderate to higher flow tank?

We have three of the Rainfordi's Goby listed on tomorrow's shipment, and one Hector's Goby on hand. Just to let you know.

What would the price be on the Rainfordi's goby ( I would want the smallest in the lot ). My Wife has to go to Saint Marys for a shower and could pick it up on the way back if thing work out

Probably, will run about $13-$16. Have to see the how the order comes in. :)

Well... Today I hooked up with Justin @ Aquatic Specialist in Troy to pick up our new Court Jester Goby (Rainfords Goby). VERY nice shop BTW. Great displays, everything labeled. Also has a good selection of corals and fish on hand in case you decide to just stop in and shop.
They even had some things there called fresh water fish ? ??? ? I dunno....must be a fad or something
Anyway, fish is in great shape and has already started to forage around.
