Chris,

Aquamend sounds right. I think lowes and HD only carry two kinds. One has metal in it and the other one does not. Just remember to lower the water line in your skimmer cause the epoxy from lowes has a lot more oils in it and will make your skimmer go crazy. If you are only gluing in one frag here and there you will be okay, but if you get a good amount of frags and want to glue in like 6 I would advise getting the stuff from the LFS or your skimmer will be messed up for days and you will need to clean the oils from the inside.

Aqua-Mend is correct. That is what I use and have had good results with it.

On an off-note.....has anyone seen the infomercials for the "super putty" on TV? They want like $19.99 for 2 rolls. It looks identical to the Aqua-Mend which can be had for like $5 a roll.

Aquamend is the stuff you're looking for.

The stuff at HD will be fine then. And I don't know what they are using but if you use even a little in an established tank it will either make your skimmer do nothing or overflow. I've had both when mounting like 6 frags at once. Now for a dry 500 I would reco Gorilla Glue.  You can squeeze it into rocks that are already on each other without moving them.

And I believe I have a good friend that has a bottle that can be used on that 500g tank.

AquaMend is reef safe. However, if you add more than two sticks at a time, it will make your skimmer go crazy. This epoxy cures white and is available at the Home Depot (in the paint department next to the super glue display). I have used at least 30 sticks of this epoxy on my new reef setup....works great with superglue gel.
