If you want to order the ammo go ahead. I'll still go in half, I'll shoot it eventually or store it for if the SHTF.

We'll see how the Bear stuff is on Sunday. I have some Silver Bear ammo which is brass case I do believe that the brown bear stuff we are gonna order is steel case.

Ya think I'm gonna hang onto everything. The Derringers aren't really gonna be shot just left in case as collectibles. I'll probably shoot the .45 long colt or .410 shot shell double barrel though.

Oh ya, didn't get the crossbow. He said he was gonna hang onto that in case he needed to kill something quietly.

Ya I've got few rounds for Sunday. I'm taking the Romanian 5.56mm AK because I don't have any magazines for the 7.62mm one. Dad gave me his ammo also, so I've got about 700 rounds of 5.56x45mm, 400 rounds of 7.62x39mm, 300 .357 magnum, 200 .22 win mag, 100 .410 shot shells, and 2500 .22 long rifle.

The last time I was at Bill Goodman's Gun and Knife show, they had some high capacity mags for the AK series. Not sure if they still do as this was 10 years ago, but they come around every month or so up in Dayton. Might be worth checking out to see what all you can pick up.

I just look up on gunbroker.com (ebay for guns) and see what it is going for if it's a relatively common gun. If it's a custom or very rare gun not really sure. Might try going to a gun store and ask them. I don't know of a gun appraiser.

If you can't find any AK-47 mags I should have a few extra 30 rds I could part with.  Reading these posts made me realize its been over 2 years since I've been to the range.  Whats a good place to go shooting?  spring valley used to be good but they changed it all up and last time I was there I almost got thrown out for what they called rapid fire.

we are going to vandalia it is the nicest one I've seen yet. The riffle range is 100 yards w/ digital read out. It has the feel of shooting from a concrete  pill box or what ever they are called

Vandalia Armory is nice but I'm still not quite accustomed to indoor rifle ranges... the reverberations are too much even for me.

Bill Goodman's typically has PLENTY of high cap magazines for all of the Kalashnikov variations. If there's any shortage or lack thereof its because people have been buying them up so rapidly the past few months. Keep trying.

Viggen - You could take it to Olde English in Tipp City or Targetworld down in Cincinnati. I'm pretty sure both offer appraisal services for a modest fee. Probably give you a better idea then gunbroker or another online classified site.

lightningfront - Is that a night sights scope I see on your AK? Nice collection btw.

We should do a Ohio Reef shoot one Sunday afternoon
75G Mixed Reef w/ 30G sump/refuge

Electrical Engineers do it on impulse, with faster rise times, with more power, and less resistance at higher frequencies, without shorts, until it Hertz

Goodmans was 3 weeks ago I believe. My son and a friend went. Should be coming soon.

Ask for BillyJoe at Vandalia Range and Armory and mention my name (Ray Norton) and he can appraise what you have and will deal the best with you.

I'll have to try to post pics of my shooters. There not as pretty as those but just mean business.

Bill Goodmans website ( http://www.gunshow.net ) show the next dates at the closest locations as July 18-19th at Hara, Aug 1-2nd at the Airport Expo Center (Dayton), and October 3-4th at Sharonville Convention Center. It does show all dealer tables being sold out at the Sharonville show...wonder how much bigger that one is compared to Hara

Well I had some time to spare last night and this morning and decided to clean out the closet under the basement stairs to create my gun storage area since my wife was starting to nag me about all the guns I had (in locked cases) laying around the basement. Changed out the regular door knob to a deadbolt for security. I know it's not a gun safe but I really don't have the bread to be dropping a grand on a safe right now.

Pistol wall (lots of room to add more :) )

Rifles (that nice space at top is waiting for my AR-15 hopefully next week)

Ammo (I need more, just so hard to find at a good price)

This Is Very Important For Those Of Us Who Believe In Amendand #2 Of Our Constitution

You know how sneaky the anti-gunners can be.
(I have not yet confirmed this yet with Snoops but the source is reliable)

Concerning the Blair-Holt proposed legislation. Senate Bill SB-2099
will require us to put on our 2009 1040 federal tax form all guns that you
Have or own. It may require fingerprints and a tax of $50 per gun.

This bill was introduced on Feb.. 24. This bill will become public
Knowledge 30 days after it is voted into law. This is an amendment to the
Internal Revenue Act of 1986. This means that the Finance Committee can pass

this without the Senate voting on it at all.

The full text of the proposed amendment is on the U.S. Senate
homepage,http://www.senate.gov// You
can find the bill by doing a search by the bill number, SB-2099.

You know who to call; I strongly suggest you do. Please send a copy
of this e-mail to every gun owner you know.

Congress is now starting on the firearms confiscation bill. If it
passes, gun owners will become criminals if you don't fully comply.

        It has started.

Very Important for you to be aware of a new bill HR 45 introduced
into the House. This is the Blair Holt Firearm  Licensing & Record of Sale
Act of 2009.

Even gun shop owners didn't know about this because the government
is trying to fly it under the radar.

To find out about this - go to any government website and type in HR

45 or Google HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record  of Sales Act of
2009. You will get all the information.

Basically this would make it illegal to own a firearm - any rifle
with a clip or ANY pistol unless:

It is registered -You are fingerprinted -You supply a current
Driver's License -You supply your Social Security # -You will submit to a
physical & mental evaluation at any time  of their choosing -Each update
change or ownership through private or public sale must be reported and
costs $25 - Failure to do so you  automatically lose the right to own a
firearm and are subject up to a year in jail. -There is a child provision
clause on page 16 section 305  stating a child-access provision. Gun must be

locked and inaccessible to any child under 18. -They would have the right to

come and inspect that you are storing your gun safely away from
accessibility to children  and fine is punishable for up to 5 yrs. in
prison.

If you think this is a joke - go to the website and take your pick
of many options to read this. It is long and lengthy.  But, more and more
people are becoming aware of this. Pass the word along.  Any hunters in your

family pass this along.

This is just a "termite" approach to complete confiscation of guns
and disarming of our society to the point we have no  defense - chip away a
little here and there until the goal is accomplished  before anyone realizes

it.

This is one to act on whether you own a gun or not.

If you take my gun, only the criminal will have one to use against
me. HR 45 only makes me/us less safe.

        <http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c111:H.R.45:

        http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=h111-45

Please.. copy and send this out to EVERYONE in the USA,  whether you

support the Right to Bear Arms or are for gun control. We all  should have
the right to choose.
The mind is a wonderful servant but a dangerous master!

You are correct on this.  The goverment would love nothing more then making it impossible to own a gun or so hard nobody wants to deal with it except "crazy gun nuts like myself and some others here".  This is a very serious issue.  The criminals don't care about the laws.  They are going to use guns any way. If you look at all the communities and cities that have made guns illigeal.  The crime rate has risen very sharply.  Even if you aren't a gun person you will be affected by a law like this.  Call your representatives and stop this before it's to late.
