Title: Mars Aqua LED Lights
Post by: ohioreef on December 31, 2020, 17:22:07
Does anyone have any experience with the Mars Aqua lights?

With the odd shape of my tank, the Ocean Revive's 24x24 coverage doesn't quite cover it, but I found a Mars Aqua 300W unit that is about 31" wide. I believe it would be what I'm looking for, but I'm not sure of the quality.

I have fair amount of experience with ocean revives/panel style lights and while the individual LED's are great for PAR and growing coral, they do not help the visual appeal of the tank. Once I switched to dense matrix, I could never go back to panel style.  If this light is in your price range, I would go for it. The MarsAqua light will light the front of your bowfront nicely but it won't do much for the back half, unfortunatel due to the shape and low spread.

Unfortunately, that is not in my price range. Looks nice, though.

Had a black box and it did alright. Got much better results with a pair of Ocean Revives. Also tried Radions. My best success in coral growth has been with T5.
