I made a appontment for 1 of my carts to get see the doc. He's 12 ish & had a huge lump on his side that almost completely went away. Just made it home from the doc (2nd time seeing her today, story below) & they have no clue what it is. The Doc asked all the other docs at the office & nobody has a clue. Looks like a sharp piece of wood is stuck in his side from the x-ray but nothing could be found & they did a ultrasound with nothing discovered. So he's on med's & is being treated like he has a major infection. He's about 6lbs lighter then he should be (usually a healthy 18lbs) & is in a lot of pain.
At 7:15 this moring when I was walking though meijers to get some weedkiller I got a call from a girl who was really shaken up stating I just hit your dog & I am in front of .... (my work/where my parents live, they were watching them). So I met my dad at the vet & I figured her hip was broken at best..... turns out the hip is fine but it looks like her spine just behind ber front shoulders is broken. Had to take her down to Cincy to a specialist where a neurosurgeon is on call 24/7. Looks like she is doing a little better..... still cannot stand up but is doing better then she did a few hours ago when I was down there. Looks like they will be keeping her for several days & when/if she is released it's going to be a very difficult recovery process......
