Power outage in Wapak

I know there are a few members from Wapak on these boards. In case you don't know, there is a power outage scheduled for 10-10-10. It will start at midnight Sun. and is scheduled until 8:00am Sun. It will affect the entire city. They are switching over to a new substation they have installed. I talked to the utility office today. They say it may only last 2-3 hours if all goes perfectly, but they sceduled 8 to allow for compliations.

I bought a generator last year on sale. It's still in the box. I guess its time to bust it out and make sure it works. A couple hours would be no big deal, but if it lasts longer that may become a problem.
