Parameters still high after water change?
« on: February 24, 2012, 21:55:14 »
phos=.10, trates=2.5, trites=2.0, I did a 20% water change tuesday and didnt change anything. Also I have brown algae growing everywhere now. I know I'm still in cycle, but I want to make sure I am doing this right. Thanks for any info.

New tanks do take time to get going.  Mine looked like an algae forest for the first couple of months.  Just dont go too fast with the tank in the  way of adding new critters and fish.  We all tend to get impatient with our tanks.

Looking good.... Rocks should go brown-green-purple not uncommon at all its just the algae cycles... They will come and go as a better algae moves in... ending ultimately in Coraline

When I first started this tank all I heard from everyone was "it will take time" & I told evryone "That's what I've heard. I have no problemswaiting as long as it take. Even if it take 6 weeks." Now I just want fish, corals, crabs, clams anything. I'm tired of waiting. lol But, I have come this far a couple more weeks won't kill me.
