Title: zoa repair

Hi!
 I have one of Humphrey's zoa frags for the contest and it was doing pretty well until one of my emerald crabs got a little munchy with it. One of the  polyps was relieved of about 1/5 of the lashes on one side. since I know nearly zero about these, could someone tell me if the polyp will heal, grow replacements, be scarred or go into decline? should i trim that polyp? it is still opening and closing with the other heads but not as completely or evenly. thanks.
btw emeralds are 2 of 3 in the refugium now. Mr.#3  does not seem interested and did not get caught with the others. I'm watching it tho.

If you want to re-home those emeralds, I’d be happy to take them!

Most zoas are remarkably resilient. I wouldn’t do anything to it. Just let it be and it should continue multiplying.

Occasionally sea urchins will do the similar thing (tasting the algae in the coral?). It has been random from my perspective. Growing more algae for them to eat has not been a problem!

looking today, it seems as though the fringes have regrown!
