corals out of water

how long can zoas and gsp and other softies like buttons be out of water with out doing damage i want to move some rocks around and i want to do it the easy way and not set up a bucket of water to put them in.

The can be out of water for a while.  I have had mine out for well over an hour before...just dont expect them to open right up when you put them back in the display tank.  You may aloso want to think about leaving something damp over them.

thanks i think i will put something over them, they should only be out for about 5 minutes or so

I have had them shipped "Dry" to me in the past with great success. They were just wrapped in damp newspaper all the way from Bali to here. I bet 5 minutes will be ok......

I've had mine out of the water for almost an hour sitting under MH lights while I was working in the tank and had no problems.  I wouldn't suggest doing that but they did fine.
