nano skimmer f/s

I bought this nano skimmer about 3 weeks ago and used it until this past week,
 it just wouldn't do what I wanted it to, works good, no problems
I am asking $30 for it, original price is on the box what I paid

What will it do how will it benefit my tank I don't know what it's for I am a newbe lol

it will remove the junk from the water, I have never ran a saltwater tank without any type of skimmer

do you have corals?
are you running anytype of skimmer on any tank that you have

maybe someone can chime in here to give a little better explanation of the benefits of a skimmer

Basically it will remove dissolved organics from the water column.  That's the quick and dirty......literally.   What it pulls out will smell horrible, which would have been left in your water if you weren't running one. 

Can a tank be run without a skimmer, sure it can, but it's going to take some other sort of nutrient export to get rid of the bad stuff.  A large refugium, bacteria dosing ie: vodka or bio pellets, or more water changes.  Using a skimmer is  the easiest though.
