Question on a protein skimmer I am looking to go big but what is too big I've read pages upon pages from multiple forums and google searches but want to hear everyone's input here. I am looking at running a heavy bio load on about 60 total gallons what is the largest skimmer you think I could run without running into problems thanks in advance

great build glad to see your taking your time and doing things right
I have a 40 breeder set up wit a 20 gallon sump and use the SCA-301 65 gallon Protein Skimmer its small and works great and for under a hundred bucks you cant beat it..
The issue your going to have is space so measure carefully before buying to make sure you can get it in and out for cleaning
I've also heard good things about the Bubble Magus BM-Curve 5

I'll look into that one i was wanting to run a external so I wouldn't have to worry about room to pick it up out of my sump for maintenance I wanted to run a higher sump to accommodate power outage return room
