How to ensure you've cleaned your rock
« on: July 10, 2017, 12:50:08 »
I took down my QT 3 weeks ago. I cleaned all my equipment and sprayed the rock off and have left it in the garage to dry out. I had a serious bryopsis problem in that tank (thanks Corals Galore). I want to reuse the rock but I'm terrified of introducing bryopsis into the main tank. Any suggestions on what to do next, before adding it back to the display tank? Thanks for any help!

BRS has a great video a couple months ago
basically acid dip, then bleach dip power wash then seed the rock
video is worth the watch as with most of there videos

I would soak it in diluted muratic acid for 2 hours and then spray with high pressure water. You could repeat if you feel the need. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water.
