They have an open-source MP3 player on there that you make yourself...I think I'm going to get that.

what kind of led would you use on that?  and would it put out the right kind of light?

You can find deals on ebay just have to search for the correct color temp, and I would think you would want the widest angle of light available, with some combo of white, 7-10K and blue in the 420-480nm range.

There's an electrical surplus store in Fairborn that has some insanely bright LED's.  I was looking into them when I was going to set up my nano.  They had some higher Kelvin ones too.
