Green Star Polyps
« on: October 12, 2010, 13:34:17 »
For some unknown reason can some tanks not keep this coral?   I got some couple weeks ago and it keeps receding.  I have xenia and Kenya tree growing like crazy but this just seems to die.

Nitrates-0
calcium-460
PH-8.2
temp-78-80

I got some from Lonnie and it didn't like the flow in my tank and died.  The same stuff in Lonnie's tank is just beautiful.

IMO if you feed your tank lightly they dont do as well. I feed more cyclops and marine snow in my tanks then some others on here do and I have to make sure they dont grow all over everything  :)

I wish i couldnt grow them, they are like the plaque in my tank, always scrapping and scraping the rock, xenia and star polyps...worse than kenya trees, :angry4:

Lonnie, I appreciate it, but I'd probably kill it again...  Maybe I'll take you up on that.

Mine used to look like this, then a portion of it crumbled away and it may pull through but idk.. all others never went through this. Its not in so low flow that algae would build up. stumped.
