If you have a cabinet below your tank make sure you put the child latches on it.... mine made it a priority to get in it all the time,  Make sure everything is on a GFCI... and I used to wipe down my stand with Clorox wipes just to be safe on the bacteria.  if your worried about the cords you can always pass them through a tube of PVC

It'll be AWHILE before they are crawling or walking.  We got a 2 month old and everything is still like usual

Electrical Engineers do it on impulse, with faster rise times, with more power, and less resistance at higher frequencies, without shorts, until it Hertz

we have the child latches and I guess what I am worried about with the cords is him seeing the pretty lights and pushing everything on my power strips or unplugging something. it is I'n our dining room and there is no way to put a baby gate for one of the entryways, it's way too big

Is there a way to mount the strips in your stand? or on the wall up high say 4ft or so?

As mentioned you'll have a little whiles before they are mobile so you have time to play with it, but when they are mobile they wll be into things you never dreamed off rofl... My daugter has an obsession with making off with my car keys. And she always had a fascination with my tank and trying to get into the sump cabinet.

looks like a good idea but im partial to darins idea he just needs to shock himself one time lol. everytime i would catch my dogs chewing on the cords i would spank them they never learned so finally they got ahold of one and it bit back and now i cant get them near one lol. but no seriously i would go to all ends to make sure my kids were safe above all. so if you find anything else out let us know..
