What is this invert?
« on: December 20, 2012, 21:14:03 »
This little thing had been moving all around my tank, at first I thought it was dirt, but it's on the side of my tank... It's between the chromis and clown, they wanted their picture taken I guess!

Looks like a asterina starfish, pretty common. Lots of different types of those guys. Most are harmless some will munch on corals.

These things split all of the time, so they almost never have all of their legs

If they really annoy you, get a harlequin shrimp.   They we eat them.   Of course once the harlequin has taken care of the population, you will  need to buy starfish to feed them.
