Title: Cheato turning whit and slimey.
Post by: Secondgen on August 03, 2017, 18:55:56
Anyone have any ideas? I do a reverse 12 hour cycle, and I have a 5000k led bulb in a clamp light over the sump. When I first added the algae to the sump it filled the fuge in no time. I pulled half out, and ever since it has continued to shrink, and turn white and slimey.

what additives if any are you adding?  Vibrant will kill it off in a heartbeat.

whats your nutrients levels?
Do you have any other Macro's in there. I have Caulerpa and have tried to add Cheato and it would never grow until I took the Caulerpa out.
Had also noticed if the light was to close it would turn the Caulerpa  yellowish white like it was burning it up
