Here is pic of my AV99 Orange Crush. Has anyone else other then AV99 has been able to get the bright orange out of it. I think he had it under 14k 400w MH

I got a piece from steve in the fall when he was doing his upgrade and it is now about half your size and I do not have the bright orange tips, they are orange but not bright.
I asked Tim (Aquavista) where I should place it awhile back and he said give it all the flow and light you can as he noticed thats when the brighter orange apperared on his.
I have to move mine yet so cant say if it helped mine or not yet.
If you move yours or you develop the bright tips, keep me posted on what you did.
Here is one that it should look like:

I have a nice piece of it but no photos. It is one of the acros that did well during my chemistry issues and setting up the new system.

Good to hear there is plenty out there. Would love to see pics if you all get a chance.

I couldnt get mine to color real well on the tips either when I had it.

I was able to pick up a nice frag of this great coral several months back from Brian. I have notice that the orange tips of my frag have really gotten bright orange and it is encrusting well and starting to grow upwards some already. I just checked my par reading where the frag is mounted and it is getting 600-700 par. from the very strong par readings I believe this coral needs the very strong lighting to maintain the bright orange tips.

Nice! Thanks for the info. Are you running LED or MH?

It has finally begun to get the Orange tips. Was pretty unhappy coral for some time but seems to be doing well now.

Sps corals are so temper mental. My frag that I got from you has always had the bright orange tips while alot of my other pieces dont develop the same quality of color. Mine is under at least 600 par.

That has been a steady grower for me. It is about 13" across now. I will get a top down pic soon.
