We cordially invite you to join us for our Annual Fundraiser: C.A.R.E. Frag Swap and Reef Education Expo. The event will take place on September 20st, 2014 at 1060 Smiley Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio 45240.
We are inviting you to join our event and promote your club. We are reserving four areas for the regional clubs to bring members and also sell some items to help raise money for their club. The clubs will not be charged for the table and will get one entrance included. First Come First Serve for the clubs, so contact us immediately to reserve your area.
We hope to be able to promote our regional area as a group of dedicated reef keepers and organizations that work together. This could lead to further projects and combined events.
This event will be structured a bit differently. We have a restricted number of vendors and we are hoping to get vendors that can do different demonstrations throughout the day. This will really aim at our educational mission. If you have someone in your club that wishes to make an educational demonstration, please let us know and we can fit them in too.
The education section will have representatives from the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden, Newport Aquarium, A Little Piece of the Ocean, and the divers. We will have crafts and prizes for the children. We will also have a shark tooth fossil hunt!
Event Information
Set-up can be done the evening before from 7:30pm – 10pm and/or will begin at 7:30am on September 20th. The event will begin at 11am.
Non-premium CARE members cost $5 per person.
Clubs may bring member coral frags, equipment, etc. to sell for their own club profit.
Food will be available in the facility.
The event runs from 11am – 3pm, so tear down will be immediately afterwards.
Raffles will be done around 2pm.
