3-4 in melanurus wrasse f/s
« on: September 23, 2017, 22:01:10 »
I have a large three to four inch melanurus wrasse that I need to rehome.  It is in great health, fat and happy.  I have an aptasia outbreak in my tank and would like to try nudibranches for removal of the aptasia.  The wrasse will eat the nudibranches along with possibly eat different shrimps so in order to try the nudibranches the wrasse has to go.   I caught it tonight with the clubs fish trap and it is currently in a little 10 gallon tank I use as a frag tank.  Just $25. call or text me at 937 232-6348
thanks
Jeff

I'll take him if it's a male.  I have been looking for a nice Melanurus for a while.

Besides being more colorful, I believe the male does not have the spots on its dorsal and tail area.  Any pictures?

I wasn't able to get any good pics. The fish is just too active to stay still long enough. It is very bright and colorful though. I'll have to CK for the spots later on today or your welcome to come out and take a look at him anytime after lunch.

No I haven't tried the laser but feel it will be like other methods where you kill them and they just come right back.

Would it have a problem with a 5 inch sea grass wrasse?

Thanks Jeff,
Wrasse is doing fine in his new home.  Eating and exploring, not being bullied or being a bully.
