Thought it was cyano, maybe not?
« on: September 10, 2010, 13:57:48 »
The red algae in my 'fuge has developed red bubbles and spheres.  Should I be doing something besides water changes?  I changed the protein skimmer outlet to put more circulation into the fuge water, and this stuff has taken off like an F-16 at full thrust.  WTH???  Please advise.

Also, we have a third gorilla crab running amok and killing stuff off.  I'm gonna get that little <expletive deleted>. :angryfire

The bubbly red stuff is cyano. You can syphon it out. I let it go in my sumps/fuge. I look at it like I do macro algaes, maybe if I let it grow there, it won't grow in the display :p
