Post by: caffeine2109 on November 29, 2013, 22:28:39
What is the best silicone for large tanks? We would like to reseal the inside seams of our 125 before we set it up.
Thanks.

Any 100% clear silicone will work fine...... I like the new 100% black. Silicone it looks more finished and hides dis coloring.

Any 100% silicone will work. Just read the back label very close and make sure it doesn't inhibit molds and mildew. If it does it will kill of your bacteria population and cause problems.

If you want the best... there are quite a few threads out there on the subject. I don't know anything about it and 100% silicone we get from our local depot store may be just fine and same. Here is one, you can get more by google silicone for large fish tank
